sFlow.org organizes a number of activities including technology promotion, technical advancement, and interoperability.

Technology Promotion

sFlow.org educates end users and vendors on sFlow sampling technology and its applications. By building an appreciation for the benefits and power of the technology, it drives widespread implementation of sFlow technology and promotes the sFlow brand.

Technical Advancement

As sFlow is becoming more widespread, future applications and requirements are emerging. sFlow.org provides a forum to discuss applications of sFlow data, determine future requirements, and agree on set of standard mechanisms to be supported by interoperable, sFlow enabled hardware and software products.

Interoperability

To maximize the benefit of sFlow, members of sFlow.org work together to ensure interoperability and consistency of sFlow enabled products.
